Privacy Policy

This is a draft placeholder. The final policy will say what personal information Varsity Space collects, the purpose of each item, how long we keep it and who can access it, as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) requires.

What we collect

• Your university email, to confirm you are a current student.
• Profile fields you choose to add: name, faculty, degree, year of study, photo and one link.
• Content you post: posts, comments and messages.
• Event RSVPs and check-ins, to confirm attendance.
• Verification documents, only for manual verification. These are deleted after review.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and data at any time.
